Chloe Hunnable Wins Second-Straight BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week

Chloe Hunnable earns BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week honors after leading UConn to its 10th and 11th straight victories.

STORRS, Conn. - Sophomore forward Chloe Hunnable, the 2011 BIG EAST Rookie of the Year, has been honored as the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week as announced by the league on Monday. Hunnable wins the honor for the second-straight week and fourth time in her career.

Hunnable led the fifth-ranked Huskies to a 2-0 week, which included victories over Providence on Friday and at No. 12 Boston University on Sunday.

Hunnable tallied six points in the two wins for UConn. She recorded one goal and one assist in each win and leads the Huskies with 25 points this season.

The Huskies are back in action on Wednesday, October 3 when the team travels to Amherst, Mass. to take on the University of Massachusetts. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
