    STORRS, Conn. - The No. 3 University of Connecticut field hockey team will look to complete another perfect week when the team travels to Louisville for a Saturday afternoon showdown with the Cardinals. Game time is set for 12 p.m. UConn comes into the contest with a 12-0 overall record and a 3-0 mark in BIG EAST play. The Cards are 7-5, 1-1.

    The Huskies, the 2011 BIG EAST Regular Season champs, have won 10 consecutive BIG EAST regular season contests, dating back to the 2010 season. UConn is 12-2 against Louisville and the Huskies have taken the last three contests in-a-row.

    Connecticut defeated Louisville twice during the 2011 season, including a 3-2 comeback win in the semifinal round of the 2011 BIG EAST Championship in Syracuse.

    UConn is 3-2 all-time when playing the Cardinals in Louisville, which was the site of the 2006 BIG EAST Championship that the Huskies won.

    Louisville, which is 4-1 at home this season is led offensively by Becca Maddock, who lead the team with seven goals and 17 points. Amber Thomas is second with six goals and 13 points and Elisa Garcia and Alyssa Voelmle have also tallied double-digit points for U of L this season.

    Connecticut, which is coming off a 2-0 victory over UMass on Wednesday, is outscoring the opposition 38-9 this season. 2012 Preseason BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year Marie Elena Bolles is leading the way for UConn with 10 goals this season. 2011 BIG EAST Rookie of the Year Chloe Hunnable is leading the Huskies with 25 goals and her eight goals are tied for second on the squad.
