NEW YORK – University of Connecticut sophomore forward Charlotte Veitner (Dusseldorf, Germany) earned her seventh Big East Offensive Player of the Week honor, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

On Friday, she dished-out four assists and found the back of the net once to push the Huskies to their eighth-straight and 12th overall shutout of the season by defeating the Friars. Veitner followed up with a two-assist, one-goal performance in Sunday’s win against No. 20 Princeton, 4-1.
Through 17 games, Veitner has totaled 77 points on 30 goals and 17 assists. She tops the Big East in points (16) and assists (8). She leads the nation in points per game (4.53) and ranks second in goals per game (1.76).
