NEW YORK – University of Connecticut sophomore forward Charlotte Veitner (Dusseldorf, Germany) earned her seventh Big East Offensive Player of the Week honor, as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon.

Veitner was an integral piece of UConn’s two-win weekend, which was highlighted by an 8-0 victory over conference foe Providence on Friday night to claim the 2015 Big East Regular Season Title. The sophomore recorded 10 points on two goals and six assists over the weekend.

On Friday, she dished-out four assists and found the back of the net once to push the Huskies to their eighth-straight and 12th overall shutout of the season by defeating the Friars. Veitner followed up with a two-assist, one-goal performance in Sunday’s win against No. 20 Princeton, 4-1.

Through 17 games, Veitner has totaled 77 points on 30 goals and 17 assists. She tops the Big East in points (16) and assists (8). She leads the nation in points per game (4.53) and ranks second in goals per game (1.76).

Senior midfielder Roisin Upton (Limerick, Ireland) added a goal against Providence and posted back-to-back tallies in her Senior Day outing against the Tigers to earn a spot on the Big East Weekly Honor Roll.

UConn will conclude its non-conference schedule when it hosts UMass on Wednesday, Oct. 28 at 4 p.m.
