2015-16: Served as team captain…named Hockey East Best Defensive Forward…saw action in all 37 games…finished fourth on the team in overall points with 20 (8g, 12a)…was tied for third on the team in overall assists…had three game-winning goals, the second-most of anyone on the team…finished third on the team with 46 blocks…scored goals in back-to-back games at Maine (Nov. 22) and against Merrimack (Nov. 28)…recorded three points over four games in home and homes against Merrimack (Jan. 9/10) and Providence (Jan. 16/17)…tallied three points (1g, 2a) in the series against Maine (Feb. 12-13)…deemed Warrior Hockey East Co-Player of the Week for her five-point performance in the Hockey East quarterfinals…had a season-high three points(1g, 2a) against UNH in game one of the quarterfinals (Feb. 26)…was responsible for the game-tying goal in the final minute of the third period and the game-winning goal in

2014-15: Dressed in the first nine games of the season before a season-ending injury...fired 12 shots on the year and blocked 14...had an assist at Rensselaer (Oct. 26).

2013-14: Played in 33 games...finished the season with three goals and four assists to total seven points...picked up her first goal of the season against RPI (Oct. 26)...scored on the power play at No. 7 Boston College (Nov. 23)...also tallied at Princeton (Jan. 2).

2012-13:Appeared in 21 games as a rookie... tallied six points on two goals and four assists... recorded two points off of one goal and one helper at Providence (Nov. 10).

BEFORE UConn:Earned four varsity letters under head coach Helen Dupuis at Holy Names C.H.S...led her team to the OWHA Championship and PWHL Final Four Gold in 2012...named to the Team Ontario Blue in 2011...Lettered three times in basketball and twice in soccer...honored as her school's Best Female Athlete in 2010.

Leah Marie...daughter of Bryan and Nancy Buress...has three brothers, Nathan, Grant and Miles...born on May 25, 1994...a nursing major.
