Carson Duggan is entering her second year on the UConn staff in 2017-18, after a three-year tenure with the Ohio State women's hockey program. During her time with the Buckeyes, Duggan guided Ohio State student-athletes to recognition both on and off the ice, including All-WCHA, All-USCHO, Academic All-Big Ten, WCHA and Ohio State Scholar-Athletes.
Prior to her time at Ohio State, Duggan spent two seasons as head coach at Division III Trinity College. After serving one season as an assistant coach at Trinity, Duggan was promoted to interim head coach for the 2011-12 season. She was named head coach of the program in the spring of 2012 and in her two seasons at the helm, guided the Bantams to an overall record of 28-19-4.
The Ma-Me-O Beach, Alberta, native was honored as NESCAC Coach of the Year by her coaching peers and also named New England Hockey Writers Division II/III Coach of the Year by the media in her first season as head coach. She earned her master's degree in economics from Trinity in 2012.A four-year letter-winner for St. Lawrence, Duggan graduated cum laude in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in economics. She finished her career as one of the most decorated players in program history, becoming the first at St. Lawrence to score over 100 career goals and helping the Saints to four consecutive NCAA tournament appearances.
Duggan earned a master's in sport administration from Ohio University in 2017.
