STORRS, Conn. – The University of Connecticut women’s ice hockey team lost to No. 2 Boston College by a 4-0 score on Sunday afternoon. Freshman goaltender Elaine Chuli (Waterford, Ont.) posted 36 saves in the loss for the Huskies.
Alex Carpenter led the Eagles (23-5-2, 15-2-1) with a pair of goals, while Haley Skarupa netted the game-winning goal at the 14:05 mark of the first.
UConn (3-25-3, 1-16-1) went 0-for-6 on the power play and successfully killed off all four power play tries for BC.
Megan Miller earned the win and the shutout by making 18 saves for the Eagles.
The Huskies are back on the ice at home against Northeastern on Tuesday night at 7:00 pm. The game was originally scheduled for Saturday, February 9, but was postponed due to inclement weather.
