STORRS, Conn. – As her breakout freshman campaign continues, forward Natalie Snodgrass earned her second selection as the Women’s Hockey East Pro Ambitions Rookie of the Week on Tuesday morning.

Snodgrass scored a goal and recorded an assist in UConn women’s ice hockey’s 5-2 win at Dartmouth on New Year’s Eve – extending her team-highs in goals (11) and points (20) on the season.

Back on Nov. 27, Snodgrass earned the same honor following the Nutmeg Classic on Nov. 24-25 at the Mark Edward Freitas Ice Forum.

In addition, Snodgrass ranks second on the team with nine assists, tying her for 17th among all players in Hockey East. Her 20 points are second among freshmen players in the league, only to Boston College’s Daryl Watts.

The Huskies return to action on Friday night, when they take on Merrimack in North Andover, Mass. Puck drop is at 7 p.m. On Saturday, UConn is back at the Freitas Ice Forum for the first time since Dec. 8 when it welcomes Brown at 3 p.m.
