Cast Your Final Votes for No. 10 Women's Ice Hockey Team Goaltender Brittany Wilson

STORRS, Conn. - Fans of the No. 10/10 University of Connecticut women's ice hockey team can vote for senior goaltender Brittany Wilson (Nepean, Ont./Ottawa Inter. AA) until noon on Wednesday. Wilson is one of four goalies vying for a spot on the NCAA Frozen Four Skills Challenge Womens East Team.

If selected, Wilson will travel to Washington, D.C. and participate in the Frozen Four Skills Challenge on April 10 at the Verizon Center. The skills challenge is one of several events scheduled for the "Friday Night at the Frozen Four" event. The Hobey Baker Memorial Award, the Hockey Humanitarian Award and the American Hockey Coaches Association All-American teams will also be announced that night.

The senior netminder will be one of five members of the class of 2009 to be honored prior to Saturday's 1 p.m. face-off. It is Senior Day at Mark Edward Freitas Ice Forum as the No. 10/10 Connecticut squad takes on the No. 5/5 New Hampshire. The first 100 fans to arrive at Freitas Ice Forum will receive a free koozie.

The Wildcats secured their spot as the top seed in the Hockey East Tournament last weekend. Connecticut earned the win in the first meeting between these two squads in 2008-09 in the program's first shootout.
