CAMBRIDGE, Mass. (March 11, 2005) - University of Connecticut forward Jaclyn Hawkins (Manotick, Ont.) was recognized numerous times at the conference banquet on Friday afternoon, earning Hockey East Rookie of the Year, Second Team All-Hockey East and All-Rookie team honors. Sophomore Natalie Vibert (Thunder Bay, Ont.) was selected First Team All-Hockey East, and junior goaltender Kaitlyn Shain (Calgary, Alberta) was named to the Second Team.

Hawkins had a record-breaking season in her first year at UConn. She set new school records for goals in a season (24) and points in a season (37) while leading the Huskies in both categories. Hawkins also took the Hockey East goal-scoring crown with a league-high 18 goals in 18 conference games.
