March 18, 2016

STORRS, Conn. - The American Hockey Coaches Association announced the 2016 CCM Division I Women's Ice Hockey All-Americans Thursday. Senior goaltender Elaine Chuli (Waterford, Ont.) was named All-American Second Team for her performance in net during the 2015-16 season.

Chuli was the only player from UConn and one of just three athletes not competing in the NCAA Final Four to earn All-American honors. She was the only All-American Second Team member who was not on a Final Four team.

With an even 12-12-2 record in net, Chuli played over 1587 minutes this season in goal for the Huskies, recording 936 saves for a program-best .943 save percentage and a personal-best 2.15 goals against average.

Chuli set the Hockey East career saves record this season and set two conference post-season records in the Hockey East Tournament. Chuli currently holds the school record for most saves with 3,431, which is over 1,000 saves more than the second place record holder.
