Women's Ice Hockey Falls to Connecticut College, 8-1

NEW LONDON, Conn. (Nov. 29) - Connecticut College freshman Janet Hanson led the Camels past the University of Connecticut women's ice hockey team, 8-1, on Wednesday evening at the Dayton Arena in New London. The Huskies record drops to 1-2, while the Camels improve to 2-1 on the season.

Connecticut held Conn. College to only one goal in the first period. The Camels then went on to score three more in the second and four in the third period. Senior Annie Peller added three assists for the Camels.

Junior Hollie Stephens (East Haven, CT) scored UConn's only tally of the night at the 17:00 mark of the third stanza. She was assisted by freshman Nicole Perigard (Hamden, CT).

Diana Cohen (South Salem, NY) made 41 saves in net for the Huskies, while Anna Trafton and Lauri Flanagan combined for 17 saves. Conn. College outshot UConn, 49-18.

UConn will take on Salve Regina on Tuesday, December 5 at 7:00 p.m. at the Connecticut Ice Arena in Storrs, CT.
