Women's Ice Hockey Promotional Schedule (PDF)

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's ice hockey team will host its seventh annual Skating Strides clinic on January 16.  The event will take place at the Freitas Ice Forum between 8:30 am and 1:30 pm.  For more information or to register contact UConn marketing at marketing@uconn.edu before Friday, January 13.

Skating Strides is open to kids age 8-12.  Registration for the event is $30 and includes a commemorative jersey and opportunities for player auto graphs as well as all clinic activities.  All proceeds will benefit the "Friends of Mel Foundation".  For more information or to register please contact UConn athletics at (860) 486-TIXX (8499).

For the sixth straight season in 2010-11, Connecticut headlined the Hockey East's Breast Cancer Awareness fundraising program raising $9,000 last season.  The Huskies have led the entire conference in funds raised since the inception of the program, raising more than $40,000 over the past six years.

UConn takes on Providence in the "Skating Strides Game" at home on Sunday, January 29 at 2:00 pm.
