    UConn vs. Villanova

    The Huskies defeated Villanova, 13-6, at the George J. Sherman Family Sports Complex in Storrs

    Chelsea Gamble begins her third season at the University of Connecticut in 2014 after helping the Huskies reach the NCAA Tournament for the first time in school history in 2013.

    Gamble brings a wealth of experience to the team, having played Division I lacrosse at George Mason University until her graduation in 2011. Gamble captained the squad for three seasons and was named the 2011 Division I College Player of the Year for South Jersey. Other honors included being named a 2011 IWLCA/Under Armour North/South Senior All Star as well as being part of the 2008 CAA Championship All-Tournament Team.

    Off the field, Gamble worked as an early elementary assistant teacher for a year and as the head coach of South Jersey Select Lacrosse for the past three years. She has also served as the Recruiter Coordinator for the Tri-State Summer Lacrosse Festival since 2008 and as a counselor at various camps run by Stanford, Nike Top of the Class, Moorestown Select and other women's lacrosse programs.
