Chelsea Gamble finished her third season at the University of Connecticut in 2014 after helping the Huskies reach the Big East Tournament for the second straight year.
UConn has gone 33-18 since Gamble joined the staff, and in her second year on the bench Connecticut qualified for the NCAA Tournament for the first time in program history. The Huskies have won at least 10 games in each of Gamble's first three seasons, boasting a 16-7 record at home during that stretch.
Gamble brings a wealth of experience to the team, having played Division I lacrosse at George Mason University until her graduation in 2011. Gamble captained the squad for three seasons and was named the 2011 Division I College Player of the Year for South Jersey. Other honors included being named a 2011 IWLCA/Under Armour North/South Senior All Star as well as being part of the 2008 CAA Championship All-Tournament Team.
Off the field, Gamble worked as an early elementary assistant teacher for a year and as the head coach of South Jersey Select Lacrosse for the past three years. She has also served as the Recruiter Coordinator for the Tri-State Summer Lacrosse Festival since 2008 and as a counselor at various camps run by Stanford, Nike Top of the Class, Moorestown Select and other women's lacrosse programs.
