STORRS, Conn. – Senior Grace Nolan of the University of Connecticut lacrosse team (1-2) was tabbed to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll as announced by the league on Tuesday.
Nolan totaled nine points off six goals and three assists in a 1-1 week for the Huskies. This is Nolan’s first BIG EAST weekly honor of the season and second accolade for the team.
The attacker began the week with four points (2g, 2a) in UConn’s 13-12 win against Fairfield last Wednesday. Nolan additionally collected two ground balls in the Huskies first win of the spring.
The Marcellus, N.Y. native finished the week with her third-straight multi-goal game, pacing all players with a season-high four goals against No. 16/8 James Madison. Nolan finished the contest with five points and picked up one ground ball and one caused turnover.
Nolan is boasting team highs in points (15), goals (10) and assists (5). The senior has recorded at least a goal and an assist in all three games played this season.
UConn returns to action on Friday, February 23 in a home contest against California. The tile is slated to begin at 3:00 p.m.
