Kahn Earns Second Consecutive BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week

Kahn earns second consecutive weekly conference accolade.

STORRS, Conn. - Junior midfielder Lauren Kahn was selected as the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Week for the second consecutive week as announced by the conference office on Monday afternoon. Kahn led the Huskies to a 2-0 week as Connecticut's 5-0 record is the best start in program history since 2000. UConn's stellar beginning to the season earned the Huskies their first national ranking since the 2007 season as the team is No. 20 in this week's deBeer Women's Media Poll.

Kahn totaled seven points in UConn's 2-0 week scoring five goals and dishing out two assists. She added seven ground balls and 14 draw controls to her impressive performance. Kahn currently leads the squad with 26 points on a total of 14 goals and 12 assists. She is currently first in the league in points per game (5.20 ppg), third in goals per game (2.80 gpg) and second in assists per contest (2.40 apg).

The No. 20 Huskies return to Storrs on Saturday when they host Binghamton at 1 p.m.
