STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's lacrosse program will hit the road for a two-game swing beginning on Friday at 3:30 p.m. at Cincinnati. The Huskies will then face off against Louisville at 1 p.m. in Louisville, Ky. on Sunday, April 22.
Connecticut most recently dropped a 16-9 result to No. 9 Notre Dame in Storrs on Saturday, April 14.
The Huskies come into the weekend with a 7-5 overall record but stand at 0-4 in the BIG EAST Conference. Connecticut has dropped games to No. 9 Notre Dame, No. 2 Syracuse, No. 13 Georgetown and Rutgers.
Cincinnati enters Friday's game at 0-5 in league play and 3-9 overall. Louisville stands at 3-10 overall based on a 1-5 BIG EAST mark.
Louisville owns the best offense of the three squads at 11.85 goals per game, followed by UConn at 11.83 and Cincinnati at 11.00. Louisville Nikki Boltja and UConn's M.E. Lapham come into the game No. 1 and No. 3 in the league in scoring. Boltja has tallied 46 goals this season compared to 40 from Lapham.
