Ashley Mitchelides is the second-consecutive UConn lacrosse player to participate in the Senior All-Star game after Whitney Michele did so last year.

STORRS, Conn. - Ashley Mitchelides (Hudson, Ohio) a redshirt senior on the 2010 University of Connecticut lacrosse team, has been selected to compete on the North roster of the IWLCA/Under Armour North-South Senior All-Star Game. Mitchelides is the second-consecutive UConn player selected to compete in the all-star game and is among the 40 to compete at the Champions' Cup on June 12. The Division I game is scheduled for noon at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa.
This is the second honor for Mitchelides from the IWLCA after being selected to the 2010 All-Region Team on May 28.
She concluded her collegiate career with the Huskies on a high note, scoring a career-high 47 points in her final season to lead the team in overall scoring. Mitchelides, a 2010 team captain, scored a career-best 33 goals and added 14 assists. She recorded 12 multiple-goal games and 14 multiple-point games.
Mitchelides scored a career-high four goals against then-No. 15 Georgetown on April 5, during a 10-game scoring streak in during which she amassed 23 goals and 11 assists. She scored a career-high six points in a 14-7 win over Sacred Heart (March 13) with a two-goal and four-assist effort.
She is one of three student-athletes representing the BIG EAST on the North team that will be directed by Albany's Lindsey Hart. There are six representatives from five conference teams between the two all-star teams.
