STORRS, Conn. - Postseason honors continue to roll in for UConn women’s lacrosse junior midfielder Lauren Kahn (Nanuet, N.Y.) following her outstanding 2013 season. The Jewish Sports Review has selected Kahn to its 2013 Women’s Lacrosse All-American First Team.
Kahn, who led the Huskies to a best-ever 13-5 record and a first-ever berths in the Big East Championships and NCAA Tournament, also earned accolades as a Second Team All-America by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association and a First Team All-American by Synapse Sports.
Kahn, who led UConn in nearly every statistic category, was also an All-Northeast Region First Team selection, the Big East Women’s Lacrosse Midfielder of the Year, a unanimous pick to the All-Big East Team and a member of the 2013 Big East All-Tournament Team.
Kahn, 21, paced the Huskies with 42 goals in 2013, as well as 23 assists, 65 points, 47 ground balls, 61 draw controls, and 34 caused turnovers. She scored two goals and an assist against Syracuse in the Big East Tournament semifinals.
The Jewish Sports Review, based in Los Angeles, selected All-American Teams of Jewish student-athletes in seven spring sports.
