Rowing Competes At Yankee Cup

KINGSTON, R.I. - The University of Connecticut women's rowing team competed in the annual Yankee Cup event on Saturday in Kingston, R.I. Conditions were extrememly rough with a strong headwind. The rough conditions caused UConn's Second Varsity 8 and Varsity 4A to catch boat-stopping crabs, which made a major impact in the outcome of the race. The Varisty four led the race for 1000 meters before catching the crab.

Second Varsity 8 - Rhode Island (8:15.36), UMass (8:23.13), New Hamsphire (8:38.89), UConn (8:46.74)
