The UConn rowing team won two of four races on Sunday.

WORCESTER, Mass. - The University of Connecticut rowing team won two of four races in a dual meet vs. Holy Cross on Sunday at Lake Quinsigamond.
The Huskies won the varsity four race in a time of 7:50.2 while Holy Cross came in at 8:01.62 followed by the UConn B team was 8:03.51.
UConn won the novice eight boat and topped Holy Cross by 29.85 seconds and the UConn B boat by 39.06 seconds.
Holy Cross won the varsity eight race by 0.34 seconds as the Crusaders came in 6:40.8 while UConn was 6:41.14. UConn led the entire race until there was 500 meters remaining, but Holy Cross took a four-seat lead. Connecticut attempted to close the gap in the sprint, but ran out of water.
The second varsity eight race saw Holy Cross win in 6:49.2 while UConn was 6:50.81. The race was contested bow ball to bow ball the entire way with the Crusaders pulling out at the end.
UConn returns to action on Friday and Saturday, May 11-12 at the Dad Vail Regatta in Philadelphia and concludes its season on Sunday, May 13 at the BIG EAST Championship in Mercer, N.J.
