Six Rowers Named CCRA Scholar-Athletes

Kaitlyn Clarke was one of six Husky rowers honored.

STORRS, Conn. - Six members of the University of Connecticut rowing team have been named 2012 Collegiate Rowing Coaches Association Scholar-Athletes. Honorees on this team must have a 3.5 cumulative grade point average through their collegiate career and raced in 75 percent of the teams events.

Those UConn rowers honored were: junior Adrienne Barrett (West Granby, Conn.), an animal science major; senior Kaitlyn Clarke (Tolland, Conn.), a biomedical engineering major; sophomore Charlotte Kelley (Simsbury, Conn.), an allied health sciences major; senior Brittanie Reinold (Sulton, Mass.), a landscape architect major; senior Sara Trevisani (Duxbury, Mass.), a physiology and neurobiology major; and junior Hillary Wiles-Lafayette (Litchfield, Conn.), a ecology and evolutionary biology major.

Barrett and Wiles-Lafayette were members of the varsity eight boat in 2011-12 while Kelley was the cox of the varsity eight. Clarke rowed on both the varsity eight and second varsity eight boat and Reinold was the cox of the second varsity eight. Trevisani was a member of the varsity four.
