STORRS, Conn. – The University of Connecticut women’s soccer program has announced that they will be holding a winter clinic at the Shenkman Indoor Training Facility on Sunday, Feb. 24, from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. The clinic, held on UConn’s campus, offers a great opportunity for girls in grades 8-12 to learn from the best college coaches and athletes in the area.
"We are excited to again host our Spring Clinic in beautiful Shenkman Indoor Training Facility,” stated assistant coach Zac Shaw. “The ability to play full sided games and train on a state of the art field turf surface provides a unique opportunity for players attending our clinic. The clinic also provides a great chance to work with and to be evaluated by the UConn staff."
Head Coach Len Tsantiris, his staff and the 2012 Huskies will focus on technique, basic tactics and will involve games, both small sided and 11v11.
The cost is $80 per player. All proceeds will be used to support the UConn women’s soccer program. All participants must bring shin guards and their own ball.
