STORRS, Conn.-The University of Connecticut women’s soccer program has announced that they will be holding a winter clinic at the Shenkman Indoor Training Facility on Saturday, Feb. 18, from 12-3 p.m. The clinic, held on UConn’s campus, offers a great opportunity for girls in grades 8-12 to learn from the best college coaches and athletes in the area.
"We are excited to host a clinic in Shenkman, one of the premier indoor facilities in the country. The clinic is a great chance for high school aged players in Connecticut and the region to come and work with the UConn players and coaches in a fun and competitive environment,” assistant coach Zac Shaw stated.
Head Coach Len Tsantiris, his staff and the 2012 Huskies will focus on technique, basic tactics and will involve games, both small sided and 11v11.
The cost is $80 per player or $60 per player if you sign up with a group of 10 or more. All proceeds will be used to support the UConn women’s soccer program. All participants must bring shin guards and their own ball.
