STORRS, Conn. - Connecticut women's soccer returns home on Thursday, September 15, to host Syracuse in the 2011 BIG EAST opener at 7 p.m. The Huskies have dominated their BIG EAST foe as they hold a 14-0-0 overall record against the Orange with Syracuse's last visit to Morrone Stadium ending in a Husky 3-0 victory in 2009.

UConn had faced three consecutive nationally ranked opponents ending with a 2-1 record prior to dropping a road game at Harvard on Sunday to set the Huskies at a 3-3-0 mark as they enter Thursday's competition.

Leading the way for Connecticut is sophomore midfielder Devin Prendergast (Babylon, N.Y.) with three goals and six points, while redshirt junior Danielle Schulmann (Saddle River, N.J.) and freshman midfielder Riley Houle (Columbia, Conn.) each have two goals and four points.

Senior goalie Jessica Dulski's (Pittsford, N.Y.) consistent play has earned her two BIG EAST Honor Roll seats and BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week. Dulski (3-3-0) has played every minute thus far earning a 1.00 GAA with 31 saves, six allowed goals and two shutouts.

The Orange (1-2-3) have four players all scoring a goal, two players who have recorded assists, while keeper Brittany Anghel has piled a 0.75 GAA with five allowed goals and 21 saves which is 5th in the BIG EAST.
