STORRS, Conn. –
The No. 23 UConn women’s soccer team closes out its non-conference slate Thursday when it welcomes Fordham to Joseph J. Morrone Stadium.

The Huskies are 7-2 overall entering their final non-conference match of the season after defeating Colgate 2-0 last Thursday. Redshirt senior Stephanie Ribeiro (Pawtucket, R.I.), who is tied for first in the nation with five game-winning goals, leads the Huskies with 16 points, including seven goals and two assists.

Senior Rachel Hill (Rollinsford, N.H.) scored her 50th career goal in the shutout against Colgate, which makes her just the fourth Husky in UConn history to eclipse the 50-goal mark. She is currently second on the team with 12 points (5g, 2a).

The Series: First Meeting

Fordham is coming off a one-goal loss to Hofstra Sunday, which snapped a four-game win streak for the Rams. After starting off their season with a 1-1 tie against DePaul, the Rams possess a 5-2-1 record this season, with only losses coming against Princeton and Hofstra.

The Rams recorded three consecutive shutouts this season to kick start their four-game win streak. They have four total shutouts this season. Fordham is led by freshman Margaret Roughley who has tallied seven points in her inaugural season, three goals and one assist.
