STORRS, Conn. – The University of Connecticut women’s soccer team jumps two spots to No. 21 in this week’s NSCAA poll as the Huskies prepare to begin conference play.
The Huskies, who previously sat at No. 23, currently possess an 8-2 overall record heading into conference play, after defeating Fordham 4-1 on Sept. 22.
In UConn’s sole match-up last week, the Huskies tied a season-high four goals against the Rams Thursday. Redshirt senior Stephanie Ribeiro earned AAC Offensive Player of the Week honors, playing a role in all four UConn goals against Fordham and tying her single-game career-high five points (1g, 3a).
UConn will open its conference slate Thursday, Sept. 29 when it hosts Tulsa at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium.
