STORRS, Conn.- The University of Connecticut women’s soccer team is set to begin its four-game road stretch beginning with a match under the lights against the defending National Champions. UConn will take on Notre Dame on Friday, September 30, at 7:30 p.m. in South Bend, Ind.

The Huskies are coming off back-to-back double overtime 2-2 ties at Morrone Stadium and are searching to continue their success against the Fighting Irish. Redshirt junior forward Danielle Schulmann (Saddle River, N.J.) leads UConn with five goals and ten points, while sophomore mid Devin Prendergast (Babylon, N.Y.) has three goals and senior forward Jessica Shufelt (Rochester, N.Y.) has one goal and three assists.
Leading the Husky defense is senior keeper Jessica Dulski (Pittsford, N.Y.) with a 4-4-2 record and a 1.05 GAA, while junior defender Danielle Dakin (Wilbraham, Mass.) is the only other team member to join Dulski in playing every minute of the 2011 campaign.
Following Notre Dame, UConn will continue its trip to the Midwest at DePaul for a 1 p.m. matchup on Sunday, Oct. 2.
