STORRS, Conn. -
The UConn women's soccer team is back in action this weekend as it plays host to the two Texas-based teams from the American Athletic Conference.
UConn takes on SMU on Thursday at 7 p.m. at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium and then meets Houston at noon on Sunday. Thursday's game vs. SMU will be available live on the American Digital Network.

UConn has an overall record of 4-6-3 and is 2-2 in the conference. The Huskies are currently in fifth place with six points in the league, as the top six teams qualify for the AAC's postseason tournament.
SMU brings a record of 5-5-3 into Thursday's game with an American Athletic Conference mark of 0-3-1. The Huskies have never lost to SMU, as they lead the series 5-0-1. Redshirt junior forward Vanessa Valadez is the leading scorer for SMU with five goals for ten points while senior midfielder Claire Oates has three goals and two assist for eight points.
SMU is coming off American Athletic Conference losses to USF (3-2) and tenth-ranked UCF (4-0). The Mustangs' last win was a victory over New Mexico on September 29.
Houston has a 5-6-1 record on the season and is 1-3 in the conference. Senior Selena Peters leads the way for the Cougars in scoring with six goals for 12 points, while senior Hannah Dauzat has five goals and two assists for 12 points.
Houston is also coming off losses to UCF (4-0) and USF (4-0) and plays at Temple on Thursday night.
