DALLAS – Juniors Rachel Hill (Rollinsford, N.H.) and Stephanie Ribeiro (Pawtucket, R.I.) were named to the American Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team on Sunday for their performance in the conference quarterfinals and semifinals.
Hill, the American Athletic Conference Offensive Player of the Year, tallied six points in the post-season, registering two goals in the quarterfinal match against East Carolina, and another goal in the semifinal match against Cincinnati.
Ribeiro, voted Midfielder of the Year, was a force on UConn’s offense in the post-season, recording 11 shots in two games and assisting Hill’s first goal against East Carolina.
The dynamic duo has led the team in offense all season. Hill currently stands atop the leader board with 13 goals and three assists for a combined 29 points. Ribeiro is currently tied for second on the team with five goals and seven assists for a total of 17 points.
Both Hill and Ribeiro notched five game-winning goals this season, which is tied for second best in the conference. All five of Ribeiro’s goals this season were good for game-winners.
