Beil, Elmore Secure Spots on All-New England Second Team

STORRS, Conn. – Junior Vivien Beil and freshman Kess Elmore landed spots on the NEWISA All-New England Second Team on Thursday morning.

In her first season at UConn, Beil led the team in goals (6), assists (6), points (18) and shots (48) helping her capture a spot on the All-Conference Second Team. On October 30, she was honored by the conference as Offensive Player of the Week after scoring two goals and picking up an assist in a 3-2 victory over Temple. She is one of three Huskies to start all 19 games this season (Liane KeegansHeidi Druehl).



Elmore finished her freshman season at UConn scoring five goals including two multi-goal performances, which led the team. Her contributions earned her a spot on the American Athletic Conference All-Rookie team. She burst onto the scene with a two-goal game at CCSU that led the Huskies to their first win of the season. Her signature moment came against Arkansas at Morrone Stadium with a game-winning goal in overtime to lift the Huskies, 2-1. Elmore competed in the Nike Friendlies for the England U-20 team this past weekend and scored a goal against Finland in the final game of the competition. England won the three-game tournament with a 2-0-1 record, accumulating 7 points to finish in front of USA team.
