STORRS, Conn. – Despite the calendar saying it is spring, winter doesn’t appear to be over yet for the UConn softball team’s purposes. Thursday’s game with Providence has been postponed due to expected temperatures near freezing.
For the Huskies (9-14), it is the second game postponed this week after Wednesday’s scheduled home-opener against UMass-Lowell was cancelled due to poor field conditions.
No makeup date has been scheduled as of yet for UConn and Providence, however, the Huskies will host UMass-Lowell on Tuesday, April 4th. First pitch will be at 4 p.m. on the Burrill Family Field.
