STORRS, Conn.- The UConn softball team is back in action on Wednesday when they welcome Georgetown for a doubleheader which will now begin at noon at Burrill Family Field. The first game was originally slated to begin at 1 p.m. but has been moved to noon. The Huskies enter the contest with a 15-15 overall mark and are 2-4 in conference action, while the Hoyas are 14-24 (4-4 BE).
Connecticut, who opened the 2012 home season with seven consecutive victories, has struggled at its home field as the team is 1-4 in Storrs in the 2013 season. The Huskies will look to earn two home wins against a squad which they are 2-5 all-time against.
Following the midweek matchup, the Huskies will head to Hartford for a 4 p.m. contest on Thursday.
