UConn Softball Walks Off With Win Over Providence
Senior OF Maddy Schiappa delivered a two-out walk-off single to shortstop to lift the University of Connecticut softball team to a 4-3 victory over Providence on Wednesday at Burrill Family Field.

No make-up date is planned for the game, as rain showers continue to pose a threat on a cool and overcast day in Storrs. The high temperature for Tuesday is 45 degrees, with at least a 50-percent chance of rain until 2 p.m.

The Huskies (17-26, 3-7 AAC) as of now are scheduled to play next on Friday, starting a three-game weekend series against Houston. Friday’s game is at 4 p.m., while Saturday is at 2 p.m. and Sunday – Senior Day – is at 12 p.m.
