Duggan Tosses No-Hitter as UConn Wins Its Third-Straight Game
Senior righty Lauren Duggan tossed the 37th no-hitter in program history as the University of Connecticut softball team topped Hartford, 5-0, on Tuesday afternoon at the Hartford Softball Field to win its third-straight game. With the win, UConn improves to 15-23, while the Hawks fall to 2-31.

The Huskies (17-26, 3-7 AAC) will indeed play one more non-league game before a three-game home series with Houston this weekend. The game with the Hawks can be followed on live stats or @UConnSoftball on Twitter.

Senior outfielder Alyssa Gardea was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday after a week where she hit .375 at the dish – including a home run and five RBI.

Freshman pitcher Jill Stockley also had a strong week, posting an 11-inning complete-game win over Boston College last Wednesday.

Hartford (6-35, 2-9 America East) comes into Wednesday having won just three games in its last 15, while currently riding a two-game losing streak. Danielle DeMarco has been the team’s biggest offensive contributor, with three home runs and 14 RBI this season.

UConn holds a dominant 21-1-1 lead in the all-time series with Hartford.
