As a Sophomore In 2016-17: Named to the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team...finished second in 200-yard backstroke in dual meet vs. Boston University.

As a Freshman In 2015-16:
Earned all-conference honors...set school record at American Athletic Conference Championship, swimming 200-yard backstroke in 1:57.32...part of 400-yard freestyle relay team that took fifth at AACs...part of 800-yard freestyle relay team that placed third at Americans...won 200-yard IM (2:10.96) and 200-yard backstroke (2:03.16) at Dartmouth meet...finished second in 200-backstroke at Penn State Tri-Meet. 

Before UConn: Competed four years at Iroquois Ridge...helped Oakville Aquatic Club win two Canadian National Championships...named to the Canadian Junior National Team and competed in the Pan Am Sport Festival...took home silver in the 200-meter backstroke and bronze in the 100-meter back...qualified for the Canadian Olympic Trials in 2012 at the age of 14...earned a gold medal in the 4x200-meter freestyle relay at the Canadian Age Group Championships.

Personal: Annika Emma Grewal...daughter of Jin and Krista Grewal...has one brother, Jayden...individualized major in genomics, heredity and health with a minor in molecular and cell biology.
