UConn junior swimmer Chinyere Pigot earns a third-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle Saturday
At UConn: As a junior, placed ninth in 200-yard butterfly at Rutgers Quad Meet...Improved her backstroke times in her second season at UConn… Competed in several events at the 2015 American Athletic Championships, earning points in the 200-yard IM and 200-yard butterfly... Overcame some injuries in the beginning of her freshman season, but swam at a high level towards the end of the year.
Achievements: Three-time state finalist while at Blessed Trinity... Held three records at her high school... Member of the Swim Atlanta Club and the Junior National Team for three years.
Personal: Born Oct. 20, 1995... Daughter of Philip and Kristine Finkle... Has two sisters, Katie (16) and Courtney (13)... Psychology Major.
