UConn Diver Taryn Urbanus Wins The 3-Meter In Day One Of Conference Championships

The Huskies sit in second place after opening with 101 points

At UConn: Set the school record in the 100-yard butterfly as a sophomore, finishing it in 55.12 seconds in the preliminaries of the American Athletic Championships… Competed in the 2014 AT&T Winter Nationals last year, swimming in the 100-yard butterfly… Also earned All-Conference honors last season after finishing sixth in the 100-yard butterfly final with a time of 55.58… Part of the Connecticut team that notched a third-place finish (1:33.31) in the finals of the 200-yard freestyle relay at the 2015 Conference Meet... Was very fast in the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard breaststroke and 100-yard butterfly in her freshman season.

Achievements: Made All-City all four years... Was an All-American five times... Captained her high school team... All-Delco and All-Mainline four times.

Personal: Born Jan. 24, 1995... Daughter of Stephen and Mary O'Prey... Has three brothers, Johnny, Jay and Conner, and one sister, Mandy... Undecided Major.
