    PITTSBURGH - The University of Connecticut men's swimming and diving team is in third place of five teams while the women's team is in fourth of six following Saturday's second day of the Pittsburgh Invitational. The Ohio State women lead with 975 points while UConn has 394 while Pittsburgh leads the men with 786 and UConn has 605. The event concludes Sunday.

    The UConn men were paced by the 200-yard medley relay team finished second in a time of 1:32.70. Freshman Sawyer Franz (Pine, Colo.) was second in the 400-yard IM in a time of 3:57.77 and sophomore Sean Battle (Allison Park, Pa.) was third in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:40.67.

    On the women's side, junior diver Danielle Cecco (Hicksville, N.Y.) was second in the three-meters with 314.10 points. Junior Mary deMarrais (Bernardsville, N.J.) won the consolation final in the 400-yard IM at 4:24.11 while junior Jordan Bowen (Lake Elmo, Minn.) was fourth in the 200-yard freestyle at 1:50.92.
