STORRS, CONNECTICUT (February 20, 2001) -- The University of Connecticut women's swimming and diving team is turning in outstanding performances, both in the pool and in the classroom.
A total of 21 members of the 2000-2001 UConn womens swimming and diving squad attained a grade point average of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 GPA scale) during the 2000 fall semester.
During the year 2000 fall semester the Connecticut womens swimming and diving team compiled a combined overall grade point average of 3.26, leading the way academically among all 24 of UConns intercollegiate athletic programs. Included in that 3.26 GPA for the womens swimming and diving team were perfect 4.0 GPA efforts by four members of the squad---Kelly Bergkessel, Michelle Jackson, Elizabeth Klink, Erin Moran.
