– The UConn swimming and diving team closes out the first half of the season on Saturday, December 2 at 1:30 p.m. at Boston University. Links to live video stream and live stats are listed above for Saturday's meet.

The Huskies are coming off an outstanding performance at the House of Champions in Indianapolis a couple weeks ago. UConn won the 14-team event on both the men’s and women’s sides.

The three-day meet was highlighted by school record mark in the women’s 200 Free relay, numerous season-best times from the team and a few swimmers registered NCAA “B” standard times.

Will Kearsey (200 IM, 200 Back), Karl Bishop (500 Free, 1650 Free), Jason Wroblewski (500 Free) and Mark Hunter (200 Breast) all secured NCAA “B” times in Indianapolis.

Emma Smith shined with three individual wins in the 1650 Free, 500 Free and 400 IM.

The UConn diving team competed at the Frank Elm Invitational in East Brunswick, N.J. a couple weeks ago. Erin Clifford, Torrington Wagner and Kyle Kennedy all gathered quality experience by reaching B-Finals in their respective events.

"Looking ahead to our dual meet with BU on Saturday, the diving events will be a good contest, said head diving coach John Bransfield. “Our program will for the second meet in a row be represented by a young squad of freshmen and a sophomore.

“Our kids have worked very hard in their short time in our program, and I have seen considerable progress in their skills.  Better yet, we have a few that visibly "step up" and compete, so I like our chances to be successful on Saturday,” said Bransfield.

UConn has six weeks off from competition before returning to the pool at Villanova on Friday, January 19.
