STORRS, Conn. - The UConn women's tennis team ended the regular season in emphatic fashion with a 6-1 victory over in-state rival Hartford. Prior to the match, the Huskies honored senior captain Alexa Gregory and junior Lauren Wilmarth for their years of service and dedication to the UConn women's tennis program.

Gregory concluded her UConn career after four seasons in Storrs and will earn a degree in sociology and communications science. Wilmarth graduated in just three years while taking classes in the UConn honors program. Wilmarth will head to the prestigious Tufts University to pursue a veterinarian degree.

Including the 3-0 sweep in doubles, the Huskies won eight of nine matches. The loss at No. 1 singles notwithstanding, Connecticut lost just seven games on the day.

UConn will head to Tampa, Fla. for the BIG EAST Championships hosted by USF beginning April 19.
