Women's Tennis Falls to Syracuse 7-0

SYRACUSE, N.Y. - The UConn women's tennis team concluded the regular season with a 7-0 loss to Syracuse in BIG EAST tennis action on Friday afternoon in Syracuse, N.Y.

The Huskies were swept in both singles and doubles' matches as Syracuse continued its stellar season as one of the top programs in the conference.

Despite falling in its final match of the regular season, UConn battled until the end against a very competitive program.

Alexa Gregory battled in a close No. 3 singles' match falling to Maddie Kobelt 7-6, 6-2. Gregory and Abby McKeon fell in the closest doubles' match, losing 8-5 to Simone Kalhorn and Aleah Marrow.

The Huskies will begin play at the BIG EAST Tennis Championships in South Bend, Ind. next weekend.
