Nutting, Gregory Lead Huskies in Finals Sunday

LEWISBURG, Pa. - Alexa Gregory and Lucy Nutting will compete in finals competition on Sunday in singles' play at the Bucknell Invitational in Lewisburg, Pa.

In B singles, Alexa Gregory defeated Alison Wingo from George Mason 6-4, 6-1, while Abby McKeon advanced on a 6-2, 5-7, (10-6) win over Colgate's Meredith Rock. Lauren Wilmarth, who earned a bye in B singles, will faced Egzona Morina on Saturday in quarterfinal action.

In semifinal action on Saturday, Wilmarth fell to Egzona Morina of Fairleigh Dickinson as McKeon also did not advance out of the quarters as she lost to Irina Dementyeva 6-3, 0-6, 10-8. Gregory, after defeating Morina 6-1, 7-5, will take on Dementyeva in the finals on Sunday.

Lucy Nutting advanced in C singles after edging Boston University's Courtney Casey 6-1, 7-5 in first round action. Nutting then defeated Aryn Christman with a pair of 6-4 sets before downing Kate Desiatnikova 6-1, 4-6, 10-8 to advance to the finals of the flight. She will face Yasmin Fotovat of George Mason on Sunday.

In doubles competition, UConn has been led this weekend by Wilmarth and Nutting who defeated BU's Vidrascu and Tuzhikova 8-4 to get into the quarterfinals. Results from the doubles' Saturday competition are not available until Sunday afternoon.
