Jan. 6, 2017

STORRS, Conn. - UConn head women's tennis coach Glenn Marshall announced today that Hailey Barrett will join the Huskies as an assistant coach.

"I am very excited to welcome Hailey to our coaching staff here at UConn," stated Marshall. "She has played at a very high level at West Virginia in the Big 12 Conference and will help our program in many areas."

Barrett comes to Storrs of a highly accomplished playing career at West Virginia.  The Lansing, Michigan native was a four-year letterwinner for WVU, playing at No. 1 and No. 2 singles and doubles.  She also served the team as a three-time captain.  Off the court, she was the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Vice President.

She graduated this past spring with a degree in Sport Management and was a volunteer with the WVU women's program this past fall. She also spent this past summer teaching tennis at The Greenbrier Resort.
