STORRS, Conn. - Natalie Robson has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the University of Connecticut women's tennis team in the fall of 2011 as announced by the Huskies' Director of Tennis Glenn Marshall on Tuesday.
"I am looking forward to having Natalie join the UConn Tennis family," said Marshall. "She will be a great addition to our team."
Robson, a native of Copley, Ohio, is ranked 630 in the nation according to the Tennis Recruiting Network, the premier site for junior tennis. She finished the 2010 season ranked 606 and is also ranked 67 in the Midwest.
As a captain of her Revere High School team, Robson is a two-time state qualifier, a three-time league champion and a District and Sectional Doubles' champion. She was also a two-year Marion Wood Baird Cup participant for Northeastern Ohio.
Robson will pursue a major in journalism at UConn as she has been featured twice on National Edition, a teen journalism website, and was a two-year Sports Editor/Columnist for her school newspaper, The Lantern. She was also the winner of a superior rating in sports writing at the 2011 Ohio Scholastic Media Association contest.
