STORRS, Conn. - UConn women's tennis head coach Glenn Marshall announced that seniors Emma Alderman (Hingham, Mass.) and Shea Flanagan (Overland Park, Kans.) have been named team captains for the upcoming 2016-17 season.
"I am very excited to announce our captains for the 2016-17 season," stated Marshall. "Emma Alderman and Shea Flanagan are both seniors, and have been leading by example for several years, on and off the court. While their tennis skills have led to many great individual and team accolades, I am most excited about their ability to lead our team with outstanding focus, energy, and positive attitudes."

She will enter her final season at UConn with 55 career singles wins and 38 career doubles wins.
