BOSTON, Mass.- It was a record-setting evening for former Husky great Trisha-Ann Hawthorne who joined her alma mater squad at the Terrier Invite and competed unattached. Hawthorne finished first in both the 60 meter dash and 200 meter dash.
“This is a great way for Trish to start 2013, especially since she has not run the 200m in two years,” stated UConn sprint coach Clive Terrelonge. “I am excited about this start and looking forward to what she can do in the outdoor season.”
Her time of 23.11 in the 200m not only sets the meet record but is now the fastest time in the world of the 2013 indoor season. Hawthorne also crossed the finish line in an all-time meet-best 7.28 in the 60m dash for first place.
