    RALEIGH, N.C. – UConn women’s track and field wrapped up competition at the Raleigh Relays on Saturday in North Carolina. The 4x1500 meter relay team headlined the effort with a second place finish to lead the UConn effort on day two.

    The combination of Laura Williamson, Lauren Sara, Emily Durgin and Brigitte Mania captured the silver medal in the 4x1500m relay in 18:37.54. In other relay action, the 4x800m relay team of Lisa Zimmer, Abbey Mace, Lauren Sara, and Emily Howard posted a time of 9:26.42.

    Odrine Belot earned fifth place in the triple jump with a leap of 12.18m. Melodee Riley added a ninth place result for Connecticut with a distance of 12.07m. Deysha Smith-Jenkins came back on day two after competing in the 100 meter dash on Friday to grab sixth place in the 200m in a time of 24.25.

    The Huskies return to action on April 5 in their lone home meet of the season at the UConn Invitational. More information will be made available next week.
