STORRS, Conn.- The UConn women’s track and field team will head to the 47th annual Sea Ray Relays at the University of Tennessee. The event lasts from April 11-13 at the Tom Black Track at LaPorte Stadium where a total of 60 teams and over 1,200 athletes will compete.
The Huskies, ranked No. 1 in the Northeast Region, are coming off a dominating performance at their lone home meet of the season where the team compiled 31 top-five finishes. Senior five-time All-American Victoria Flowers earned her fourth BIG EAST Field Athlete of the Week honor following two first place finishes in the hammer throw and the shot put.
Connecticut found great success at the 2012 Sea Ray Relays as Flowers captured the hammer title and Brigitte Mania walked away with the crown in the 800m showcase.
The Sea Ray Relays can be viewed for free on Friday and Saturday and is available on UTSports.com, while live results can be found through AdkinsTrak and Branch Sports Technology/
